About the event

A map, a compass and an autumn park. Join an orienteering event organised by INTERRA, even if you have never held a map before.

What is orienteering?

Orienteering is running or walking with a map. The goal is to visit control points (controls) in the specified order and reach the finish as quickly as possible. An electronic chip records your visit to each control and your time. Both speed and the ability to read a map and choose routes matter.

2 courses to choose from

Open — for beginners, parents with children and anyone trying orienteering for the first time. There are relatively few controls, and the course follows paths and trails through the park. If you miss a control, a five-minute penalty will be added to your time, but your result will still count.

Pro — for experienced orienteers. High technical difficulty, detailed map reading, navigation using small features and frequent changes of direction. You must visit every control in the correct order; otherwise, your result will not count.
